Key Issue 1:

Safety in public places
 

Aim:

Increasing safety in public places

 

Objectives:

  • To increase the number of recorded crimes aggravated by either race or homophobia and to reduce the number of repeat incidents.

  • To reduce vehicle crime and at the same time to increase its detection.

Aim:

To promote safety in the home

 

Objectives:

  • To reduce Burglary and at the same time to increase its detection.

  • To reduce Domestic Violence and at the same time to increase its detection.

  • To reduce the number of accidental fires in Derwentside.

  • To reduce the fear of crime and promote public reassurance. To tackle the risk factors which increase the likelihood of committing a crime,
    or becoming a victim of crime.
