Aim:
Ensure all communities in Derwentside have access to all relevant
information.

- Community information points available in every ward in Derwentside.
- “LSP News/update” to every household twice a year. A genuine
Partnership approach in communication. Joint protocols established in
relation to communicating with the public. (Durham County Council,
Derwentside District Council, Primary Care Trust, Police).

| Build capacity of statutory organisations to effectively
engage and support communities across Derwentside. |
| Action |
- Formal training for key personnel for District and County Councils,
PCT and Police in Community engagement. Also Joint Protocols to be
established between main public bodies in relation to community
engagement and consultation.
- SRB Community Resource Network.

every household in their area.
- All households in Derwentside will receive regular updates on
developments in Derwentside.
