Building Project.

| Build capacity of statutory organisations to effectively
engage and support communities across Derwentside. |
| Action |
- Training and development for key personnel for District and County
Councils, PCT and Police in Community engagement. Also Joint Protocols
to be established between main public bodies in relation to community
engagement and consultation.
- SRB Community Resource Network.

| Increase opportunities for volunteering that will contribute
to the well-being of communities across Derwentside. |

- Expand the work of the CVS volunteer bureau in all areas of the
district.
- Develop a strategic approach to volunteering that utilises
individual talent, contributes to community life, benefits local
organisations and offers routes into paid work.
